Charlottetown Airport opened in the 1930s and today operates from a single passenger terminal as Prince Edward Island’s primary air gateway; it’s a compact but busy regional airport handling scheduled flights to Canada’s major eastern hubs. Located a short 10–15 minute drive from downtown Charlottetown, the airport offers easy road access, taxis, car rental and seasonal public shuttle options that link visitors to Summerside and PEI ferry terminals. While not a major airline hub, carriers such as Air Canada, WestJet and Porter (seasonally) provide most services; fares tend to be mid-range and can be very affordable when booked early.
