Chachapoyas

Chachapoyas Airport, opened in the mid-20th century, is a compact regional airport with a single small terminal serving the city of Chachapoyas and the surrounding Amazonas highlands. Though modest in size, it’s the main access point for visitors heading to Kuélap, Gocta Falls and other nearby attractions, with regular domestic connections to Lima and regional centers operated by local carriers. Ground access is easy, with short taxi or colectivo rides linking the airport to the town center and regional roads. The facility is generally affordable to use, but flights can be pricier than at major hubs due to limited competition; it functions as a base for regional airlines rather than a major hub.
