Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD), Ferihegy, 1185 Budapest, Pest County (Central Hungary), Hungary
Opened in 1950 and renamed for composer Ferenc Liszt in 2011, Budapest Ferenc Liszt International is Hungary’s largest airport with two main passenger terminals (2A and 2B) serving millions each year. As the primary gateway to Budapest, it’s a mid-sized European hub with frequent low-cost and full-service connections; Wizz Air maintains a major base here and Ryanair also operates many routes. About 16 km southeast of the city centre, the airport is well linked by the 100E airport shuttle, regular buses to the metro network, taxis and motorway links, making city access straightforward. Prices are generally mid-range, with many budget fare options available.
