Batumi Airport

Batumi Airport, originally opened in the 1930s and modernized with a new terminal in the 2000s, is a compact international gateway on Georgia’s Black Sea coast with one main passenger terminal. As the region’s primary air link to Adjara and Batumi, it handles mostly seasonal tourist traffic and short international routes rather than long-haul services. The airport is a short drive from Batumi city centre and is well connected by local buses, taxis and the E70 highway for onward travel to nearby cities; marshrutkas and private transfers are common. Generally more affordable than major European hubs, Batumi is served by Georgian Airways and regular flights from low-cost and Turkish carriers, plus seasonal charters.
