Augusta Regional Airport (AGS), also known as Bush Field, opened in 1950 and serves as the compact gateway to Augusta, Georgia and the surrounding Central Savannah River Area. The airport operates from a single terminal with a handful of gates, making it easy to navigate during busy events like the Masters Tournament. About 7 miles south of downtown, AGS is accessible by I‑520 and state routes with taxis, rideshares, rental cars and limited local bus service available for connections to nearby cities. Not a major hub, it is primarily served by American Eagle, Delta Connection and low‑cost carrier Allegiant, and is generally considered affordable compared with larger regional hubs.
