Araxos Airport

Located near the village of Araxos, Araxos Airport opened as a military airfield in the mid-20th century and later added civilian services, serving the western Peloponnese with a single small passenger terminal. This compact regional airport handles mainly seasonal and charter flights for Patras and nearby coastal resorts, making it an important gateway for summer travel. Ground connections include regional buses, shuttle services in peak season, taxis and rental cars for the roughly 40–50 km journey to Patras. Generally affordable for travelers, Araxos is not a hub for major carriers but hosts Greek regional and European charter airlines during the tourist season.
