Arauca Airport

Arauca Airport (AUC) serves the city of Arauca in eastern Colombia and was established in the mid-20th century (c. 1950s), operating from a single small terminal that handles regional traffic. As a compact but important gateway for the oil and cattle-producing Llanos region, AUC offers essential connections—mainly flights to Bogotá and other regional centers—rather than long-haul service. The airport is a short 5–10 minute drive from downtown Arauca with taxis, private shuttles and limited local buses providing access, and road links toward the Venezuelan border. Not a major airline hub, it’s served by regional carriers such as Satena, EasyFly and Avianca on generally affordable routes for budget-conscious travelers.
