Antsiranana/Arrachart Airport (DIE), originally established during the 1930s and named after aviator Ludovic Arrachart, is a small regional airport serving the city of Antsiranana (Diego Suarez) in northern Madagascar. The airport operates from a single modest terminal and handles mainly domestic and occasional charter flights, making it an important gateway to Montagne d’Ambre and local beaches. It’s roughly a 15–20 minute taxi ride from downtown with road links and limited shuttle services to surrounding towns. Generally affordable for domestic travelers thanks to Tsaradia (Air Madagascar’s domestic arm) and regional carriers, international connections are limited and can be pricier.
