Ankang’s modern airport opened in 2020 and features a single compact terminal that handles regional traffic to and from Shaanxi province; it’s the main gateway to the Han River valley and the Qinling foothills. Accessibility is straightforward — roughly a 30–40 minute drive from downtown Ankang with regular shuttle buses, taxis and good road links — and fares are typically affordable for domestic travelers, with frequent budget-friendly options on seasonal routes.
