Angel Albino Corzo International Airport

Ángel Albino Corzo International Airport (TGZ), opened in 2006 near Chiapa de Corzo, is the main gateway to Tuxtla Gutiérrez and Chiapas’ top attractions like Sumidero Canyon and San Cristóbal de las Casas. The airport operates from a single passenger terminal and handles a busy mix of domestic and some international flights, making it a medium-sized regional airport in southern Mexico. Ground connections include taxis, car rentals and regular buses or shuttles linking to central Tuxtla (roughly a 30–45 minute drive) and onward roads to San Cristóbal. Not a major hub, TGZ is served by Aeroméxico, Volaris and VivaAerobus and is generally considered affordable thanks to low-cost carrier routes.
