Ala’ Marvdasht Airport, opened in the mid-2000s, is a compact regional airport with a single terminal that serves Marvdasht and the surrounding Fars province; it functions as an important gateway for travelers visiting the nearby Persepolis ruins and other Shiraz-area attractions. Modest in size but strategically located, the airport offers straightforward road access and regular taxi and shuttle connections to Shiraz (about 45 km), plus local bus links to neighboring towns.
