Adana Airport

Adana Şakirpaşa Airport first opened in 1937 and today operates as a compact, medium-sized airport with a single passenger terminal serving the Çukurova region. Located just a few kilometres west of Adana’s city centre, the airport is easily reached by highway, regular city buses, airport shuttles and taxis, making onward connections to Adana, Mersin and nearby industrial towns straightforward. As a dual civilian and military field it handles a mix of domestic and seasonal international flights and is a key regional gateway. Travel costs tend to be affordable thanks to frequent services by Turkish Airlines, AnadoluJet, Pegasus and SunExpress, which maintain strong regional schedules.
