With a single compact terminal, it handles modest domestic traffic and acts as a convenient gateway for visitors heading to Miao villages and local cultural sites. The airport is easily reached by a short taxi or shuttle-bus ride from Liping town and by well-maintained county roads linking to regional bus and rail hubs. Not a major airline base, it’s served by domestic carriers such as China Eastern, China Southern and smaller regional operators; fares tend to be reasonable for domestic routes though options are limited compared with big hubs.
