Lampang Airport

Opened in the 1990s, Lampang Airport is a small regional gateway serving Lampang Province in northern Thailand. Featuring a single passenger terminal and one runway, it plays a key role for local travel rather than functioning as a major hub. The airport sits roughly 7–10 km from Lampang city center and is easily accessed by taxi, shared songthaews, private car or regional buses; Chiang Mai International is the closest major airport, about a 1.5–2 hour drive away. Primarily served by domestic low-cost carriers such as Nok Air and Thai AirAsia on routes to Bangkok, Lampang generally offers affordable fares and straightforward connections for budget-minded travelers.
