Kastellorizo Airport

Kastellorizo Airport opened in the 1980s and remains a tiny but vital gateway to Greece’s easternmost island, operating from a single small terminal that handles light regional traffic. As one of the country’s smallest airports it plays an outsized role in connecting Kastellorizo (Megisti) to Rhodes and other Dodecanese islands via seasonal and scheduled domestic flights, with ferry links nearby for sea travel. Ground access is simple—a short taxi or hotel transfer to and from the village—with limited public transport. Not a hub, it’s served mainly by Greek regional carriers such as Sky Express and seasonal Olympic Air services; fares are generally affordable for short hops but can rise in high summer.
