Campeche International Airport

Campeche International Airport (CPE) opened in the 1970s and operates from a single passenger terminal, serving as the small but vital gateway to Campeche state on Mexico’s Gulf coast. Compact and easy to navigate, the airport handles mostly domestic services and regional connections rather than long-haul routes, with regular flights operated by carriers such as Aeroméxico Connect, Volaris and VivaAerobus. Located about a 15–20 minute drive from Campeche city center, it offers taxis, shuttles, car rental and limited bus links for onward travel. Generally friendly on fares, CPE is considered budget-friendly compared with larger Mexican hubs.
