Founded in 1982, Trans States Airlines was a U.S. regional carrier that operated feeder services for major carriers under capacity‑purchase agreements; it ceased operations in April 2020. Advantages included strong hub connectivity, frequent short‑haul schedules and generally cost‑effective regional fares set by mainline partners. Disadvantages were a constrained route network, older regional‑jet cabins (notably the ERJ‑145) with cramped seating and limited onboard amenities, and variable punctuality. It was neither a low‑cost nor premium carrier, and no Skytrax rating is listed.
