Founded in 1924 (reconstituted as the national carrier after independence in 1992), Tajik Air is Tajikistan’s flag carrier operating a small fleet on domestic and limited international routes. Advantages include essential domestic connectivity, competitive regional fares and government backing. Disadvantages are an aging, mixed fleet, limited route frequency, basic onboard comfort, variable punctuality and constrained customer service outside Dushanbe. It is not a low-cost carrier but provides basic, low‑comfort service. Not rated by Skytrax.
