Lufthansa CityLine, founded in 1978, is Lufthansa’s regional subsidiary operating feeder services to main hubs. Advantages include a dense short‑haul network, seamless connections, frequent‑flyer integration and service standards aligned with the parent carrier; the fleet of Embraer regional jets and some A320‑family aircraft supports frequent rotations. Disadvantages are smaller cabins and limited onboard amenities on regional jets, occasional congestion‑related delays and few direct long‑haul options.
